The VÉYA Standard

Editorial
Policy

The principles governing accuracy, independence, transparency, health reporting, commercial partnerships and visual integrity across VÉYA India.

Published July 2026

Our Responsibility

Luxury in publishing must be visible not only in design, but in accuracy, judgement and respect for the reader.

VÉYA’s credibility depends upon the difference between what is beautiful, what is persuasive and what is true.

VÉYA publishes editorial work for readers who expect elegance without intellectual compromise. Our responsibility is to distinguish reporting from opinion, evidence from promotion and genuine guidance from unnecessary alarm.

These standards apply across beauty, wellness, style, women, life, luxury and culture, including independent editorials, interviews, reviews and commercial collaborations.

Core Commitments

The Principles Behind Every Story

These commitments guide how VÉYA chooses, develops, reviews and presents its editorial work.

Independence

01

Editorial decisions are made according to relevance, accuracy, originality and value to the reader—not commercial pressure.

Accuracy

02

Facts, names, dates, scientific claims and quotations should be checked carefully before publication.

Transparency

03

Commercial relationships, sponsored content, material conflicts and important limitations should be disclosed clearly.

Respect

04

VÉYA avoids degrading stereotypes, manufactured shame, sensationalism and language that diminishes women’s experiences.

Context

05

Advice and global trends are considered through Indian realities, cultural differences, regulation and access.

Correction

06

When a meaningful error is identified, VÉYA aims to correct it clearly and without concealing the original mistake.

Accuracy and Corrections

Accuracy is a continuing responsibility.

Editorial work should be accurate when published. It should also remain open to review when new evidence, clarification or a credible correction request becomes available.

Request a Correction

01

Review

The editorial team reviews the concern, the original material and any reliable supporting evidence.

02

Verify

Relevant sources, records, experts or contributors may be consulted before a decision is made.

03

Correct

Confirmed errors are amended as promptly and proportionately as circumstances allow.

04

Disclose

Material corrections may be accompanied by a visible note explaining what was changed and why.

Minor spelling, formatting or clarity changes may be made without a correction note. Material factual changes should be disclosed when their absence could mislead the reader.

Medical and Wellness Content

Health information demands a higher standard of care.

VÉYA’s health and wellness content is intended for general education. It is not a substitute for examination, diagnosis or treatment by a qualified healthcare professional.

01

Evidence Before Excitement

Health claims should be supported by reliable medical evidence rather than testimonials, popularity or promotional language.

02

Qualified Perspective

Where professional interpretation is required, VÉYA seeks appropriately qualified medical or scientific expertise.

03

Clear Limitations

Uncertainty, mixed evidence, study limitations and differences between association and causation should not be hidden.

04

No Personal Diagnosis

Editorial content is general information and should not be presented as diagnosis, treatment or an individual medical plan.

05

Safety Matters

Potential contraindications, interactions, risks and the need for professional care should be included when materially relevant.

06

No Fear-Based Selling

VÉYA does not support health communication designed primarily to frighten readers into purchasing a product or procedure.

Readers experiencing symptoms, a medical emergency or concerns about treatment should seek appropriate professional care rather than relying solely upon editorial content.

Advertising and Sponsored Content

Commercial Support Must Be Visible

Readers should never have to guess whether a brand has paid for or supported the content they are viewing.

01

Clear Identification

Sponsored, paid or brand-supported material must be labelled in language that a reasonable reader can understand.

02

Editorial Separation

A commercial partnership does not purchase favourable coverage within independent editorial content.

03

Relevant Partnerships

Advertising should be reasonably relevant to VÉYA’s audience, categories and publication environment.

04

No Hidden Endorsement

Products, services or experiences should not appear to carry independent editorial approval when the placement was paid.

Brand-supported work may be created with care and editorial intelligence, but it remains distinct from independently selected and independently concluded editorial coverage.

Advertising Policy

Images and Visual Integrity

A Beautiful Image Must Not Become a False Claim

VÉYA may use documentary, commissioned, staged, illustrative and digitally created imagery, but each must be used in an honest editorial context.

Documentary Images

01

Images presented as records of real events, people or places should not be altered in ways that materially mislead the reader.

Editorial Illustration

02

Conceptual, staged, illustrative or digitally created imagery may be used when it supports the story without pretending to be evidence.

AI-Assisted Imagery

03

AI-assisted or generated images must not be presented as authentic documentary photographs of events that did not occur.

Body and Skin Integrity

04

Retouching should not create deceptive health, skincare, body or treatment outcomes.

Context and Captioning

05

Captions, credits and surrounding language should not misrepresent who or what an image depicts.

Respectful Representation

06

Visual choices should avoid humiliation, stereotyping or presenting age, skin tone, body type or disability as a defect.

Sources, Attribution and Conflicts

Credibility should be traceable.

Readers should be able to understand where important information originated and whether a contributor may have a material interest in the subject.

01

Primary Sources

Whenever practical, VÉYA prefers original research, official records, direct interviews and first-party documentation.

02

Reliable Secondary Sources

Established reporting and expert analysis may be used when they provide necessary context or independent verification.

03

Attribution

Ideas, quotations, findings and reporting originating elsewhere should be attributed appropriately.

04

Anonymous Sources

Anonymity should be granted only when justified by safety, privacy or access to information of genuine editorial value.

05

Conflicts of Interest

Writers, contributors and experts should disclose relationships that could reasonably affect their independence.

06

Product Access

Complimentary products, travel, services or experiences should not guarantee favourable coverage.

Technology and AI

Technology may assist the work. It does not remove editorial responsibility.

VÉYA may use digital and artificial-intelligence tools during research support, production, editing, design or image development. Material facts, medical claims, quotations and conclusions remain subject to human editorial review.

AI-generated material should not fabricate interviews, sources, quotations, research, real-world events or documentary evidence. The editorial team remains accountable for what VÉYA publishes.
